CHILLICOTHE: Psalms 116:15 - Precious in the Sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

Ida E. Williams, 81, of Chillicothe, died 12:15 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Bruce Viar officiating. Burial will follow in Springbank Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware's from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Ida was born March 13, 1932, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late John R. and Carrie R. Skiver Mielke. On February 25, 1951, she married Rev. Edwin "Gene" Williams who died January 23, 2008.

Surviving are children, Michael E. (Cindy) Williams and Michele L. (Andy) Benner, both of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Nicholas A. (Heidi) Benner, Miranda M. (Shane) Sheets and Tracey L. Williams; great- grandchildren, Tucker A., Drake A. and Mallory M. Sheets and Lucas D. and Gavin N. Benner; sisters, Susan J. Nimmo, of Chillicothe and Sandy (Pat) O'Malley, of Galloway, OH; a brother, John R. (Lynn) Mielke, of Florida; and special nieces, Linda (Steve) Heimann and Brenda (John) Young, both of Westerville. She was predeceased by sisters, Alberta Harris, Mary Harris and Elsie Belleperche.

Ida was a member of the Yellowbud United Methodist Church and attended High Street C.C.C.U. She was very active in her church having taught Sunday school classes for many years. She loved working with the children and crafts. Ida especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
