Chillicothe - Earl "Roy" L. Moody, 78, passed away Friday August 10, 2018 in Chillicothe, Ohio. Earl was born July 23, 1940 in Frankfort, Ohio the son of the late Earl E. and Ruth Helen (Blazer) Moody. Along with his parents Earl is preceded in death by a son: Tom Moody; brothers: Fred and Edgar Moody; sisters: Goldie McWhorter, Helen Burns, Shirley Moody Smith; son-in-law: Robert Murphy and 3 infant sisters.

Earl is survived by his wife Robin K. (Van Bibber) Moody; sons: Gregg Moody and Michael Randolph (Janelle); daughters: Rhonda Williams (George), Brenda Moody, Marsha Aaron (Tracy), Sandy Murphy, Melissa Secrest Moody, and Carrie Daniels (Ted). Earl is also survived by a sister: June Swift; brother: Herbert Moody (Opal); 21 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Earl was a logger all his life working for many different companies buying timber and veneer logs as well as operating his own company cutting standing timber. Earl enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, vegetable gardening and was an avid outdoorsman in his younger years. Earl was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many, he will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral service will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday August 14, 2018 at the Ebright Funeral Home 55 Springfield St. Frankfort, Ohio 45628. The family will receive friends Tuesday August 14, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Ebright Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Wednesday 10:00 AM August 15, 2018 at the Greenlawn Cemetery Frankfort, Ohio. Memorial contributions can be made in Earl's name to the Adena Hospice 111 W Water St. Chillicothe, Ohio 45601. Services are in care of McColaugh Funeral Home Xenia, Ohio.
