Chillicothe - Mildred Ann "Millie Owens, 76, of Chillicothe passed away at 10:22 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2018 in Westmoreland Place Nursing Home following an extended illness.

She was born September 19, 1941, in Bainbridge, Ohio, to the late Olin and Jessie L. Knisley Rumfield.

Surviving are a son, Kevin (Christine) Houser, of Dublin; a daughter, Karen (Chuck) Morrison, of Chillicothe and Kim Theobald, Mexia, TX; grandchildren, Shane Theobald, P.J. Theobald, Kim Brown, Amy (Frank) Thompson, Shane Thompson; Josh (Tonda) Morrison, Abigail and Dylan Houser; great-grandchildren, Haley, Madison, Hunter, Morgan, Lily, and Talynn; brothers, Roy Rumfield, of Canyon Lake, TX, Robert Rumfield, of Sinking Springs, OH, Olin (Tice) Rumfield, of Frankfort, OH and Roger (Carolyn) Rumfield, of Bainbridge; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Rumfield, wife of Millie's late brother, Jim, of Bainbridge; numerous nieces and nephews; companion, Rufus Fletcher, of Circleville; faithful companion her dog, Baby. She was predeceased by her dad, Olin Rumfield; mother and stepfather, Jessie and Forrest Harmount; a brother, James Jim Rumfield; and sisters-in-law, Waukera Rumfield and Norma Jean Rumfield.

Mildred worked for General Electric where she retired after 37 ½ years. She worked hard to provide for her family. Millie was very active throughout her life. She loved to travel, had numerous hobbies and loved spending time with her family and friends. Millie was loved by all who knew her and will be missed by her family and friends.

Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2018 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Dan Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday. Following the burial, the family will be gathering at Bourneville Christian Union Church for refreshments.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to the of Central Ohio 1379 Dublin Road Columbus, Ohio 43215 or to the Ross County Humane Society 2308 A Lick Run Road Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.

The family wants to express a special "Thank You" to the staff of Westmoreland Place Nursing Home for the loving care given to Millie and compassion shown to our family during this difficult time.
