It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lisa Evelyn Perry, who left us peacefully while surrounded by family, on March 13th, 2016 at the age of 34, after a long struggle with alcoholism.
Lisa attended Crestview Elementary school, Churchill High School, and then Confederation College where she received her Early Childhood Education diploma. She grew up in Murillo where she enjoyed years of dancing and letting her bright personality shine through as a student of the Bev Hartley School of Dance. She had a love for all things country - including country music, especially Johnny Reid - whom she had the opportunity to meet in person at Nashville Fan Fare with her sister Lori-Anne.
Nothing in life brought Lisa more joy than children, most especially her beautiful daughter Trinity. She was an incredibly doting and loving Auntie and family meant everything to her. She always loved an excuse to gather or celebrate.
She will be missed and remembered by her mother, Joyce, her father, Donald (Maggie), her siblings Raymond (Jennifer), Lori-Anne, Ken (Tina) and Sivanna. Her nieces and nephews: James, Jessica, Elissa (Brody), Rachel and Kaitlin and her great-niece Aria. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives who loved her.
Lisa was predeceased her son Jonathon in infancy, her grandparents Thomas and Winnie Perry, and Albert and Maisie Williamson and by Uncles Raymond Perry and Jethro Perry.
Lisa participated in many treatments and programs to achieve the sobriety she desperately wanted. Her family is forever grateful for the amazing support she received from community services including Hope Place, the Sister Margaret Smith Centre and the Friday afternoon ladies group.
Visitation for friends and family will be held on Wednesday, March 16th from 7pm-9pm at Jenkens Funeral Home, 226 S. Syndicate Avenue. Funeral services for Lisa will be held on Thursday, March 17th at 1pm in the chapel of Jenkens Funeral Home with reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations to Hope Place would be appreciated.

Don & family,
So sorry to hear about Lisa. She was a beautiful person who had a heart of gold. She babysat my kids quite a few years back and the kids loved her, she was so full of life. She had a smile that would light up a room and a laugh that was contagious. She will be missed.
