It is with broken hearts, that we announce the passing of someone who filled those hearts so full. Our dearest Greg passed away on Sunday, July 7 in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Left to cherish and honor his memory are his greatest joys in life, his loving wife Kristin, and beloved daughters Carson and Piper. Remembering him with heartfelt love and deep admiration are, his Mom Judy, brother Corey and wife Michelle, brother Ryan and wife Jenner, sister Sarah and husband Kris. He was predeceased by his Father Jim who often with his quiet grin, glowed with proudness from afar. Greg has left an indelible footprint on the hearts and souls of so many people that were fortunate to be involved in his life, none more, than his wife and daughters who felt his devotion and unwavering love every day. Greg was a natural leader through his actions and not his words, and had an intensity for his passions that was complimented by his kindness, humility and gentle way. His contagious smile and bellowing laugh will be engrained in all our hearts forever. Thank you Greg. We love you always. In lieu of a donation, the family requests that you share your fondest memories of Greg at On-Line Guest book at https://wujekcalcaterra.tributes.com/obituary/show/Gregory-Johnson-107290740

Our family is shocked and saddened by the news of Greg's passing. We got to know him when our family participated in the Christian Hockey Camps in the Detroit area that were run by John Vanbiesbrouck. I was the camp medical person, my husband Vern was a rink manager, and both our boys, Trevor and Kyle, participated as campers and eventually camp counselors and assistants on the ice.
Greg was a presence at the camp in many ways. He was a mentor to the boys both on the ice and during Christian activities at the camp. His quiet demeanor, love of God, family, friends, hockey, and life were always apparent. He had a wonderful smile and fun-loving personality sure to captivate everyone in his presence. I especially remember how he doted on Sarah when he would bring her to the skating sessions with the kids and always made sure she got some special time on the ice with him.
Greg was a wonderful and very special person. He is now with God and is and always will be watching over his wife, daughters, family, and friends. His light here on Earth will forever shine in his children's eyes, and will always be felt by the many others who were privileged enough to know him.
We are so sorry for the loss of Greg in all our lives. May he forever rest in peace with the Lord.
Sincerest condolences,
Denise, Vern, Trevor, and Kyle Martin

We were extremely saddened to hear of the passing of such an incredible individual. Our sincerest condolences to Kristin, Judy, Corey, Ryan and Sarah and their families. Our prayers and thoughts are with you as you process this immeasurable loss.
As his grade 9 keyboarding teacher, I was so impressed by this young man who had a maturity well beyond his years. I have taught several hockey players but Greg was the only one to come to me and ask for the assignments that he would be missing while he was on one of his many hockey tournaments. He would drop off the completed assignments at the school before heading out of town. He told me that he took keyboarding because he thought it would be beneficial in the future to know how to use a keyboard properly.
Greg leaves behind a legacy of compassion, caring, thoughtfulness and an unselfish desire to be the best father, husband, son, brother, player, friend, businessman that he could be.
Our prayer is that God's all encompassing love will comfort you and bring you peace at this difficult time.

Kristin, Carson, Piper and Judy, Corey, Ryan and Sarah: Our hearts were broken when we heard the news of Greg's passing. He was a Champion of a human being, an absolute Champion! Not for all that he did and accomplished, but for who he was as a person! They just didn't come any better. When our oldest daughter Briana was born, it was Greg who took me out for celebratory beer that night. He is in some of our home videos when he would would pop by for a visit. He had such a positive impact on everyone he met. Cyndy and I count ourselves as a very fortunate and blessed to have had Greg and the Johnson family a part of our lives. Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Got to know Greg during the Centennial Cup Championship in Summerside, PEI, in May of 1989. We were both up for Canadian Player of the Year, which Greg won. We hung out a bit that week and travelled around the Island a bit. Greg was a fantastic person and I became a lifelong fan and followed his career.
I am very sad to hear of his passing and offer my sincerest condolences.

As his Kindergarten teacher at Isabella School many years ago I remember Greg as a WONDERFUL boy full of fun, caring and promise of a fantastic future.
I was often reminded of him as I watched his hockey team in action....always a good sport and an outstanding athlete.
The world has lost a very special man.
Sincerely,

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we leave this message for Mrs. Johnson, Corey, Ryan, Sarah, Kristin, Carson, Piper, and the other Johnson and Kotzian family members. Since learning of Greg's death, we are struggling greatly to believe and accept his passing. Our sadness and heartbreak are immeasurable. Mrs. Johnson, Corey, Ryan, and Sarah we send you our love and condolences. We, too extend such sentiments to Greg's wife and daughters. Kristin, Carson, and Piper. Although we did not have the pleasure of knowing you, we are certain that you all are as wonderful as Greg.
We grew up alongside Greg in Fort William, Thunder Bay. Specifically, we lived in the same neighbourhood; Greg, on Isabella Street and us, on Franklin Street. We all attended Isabella Public School in the same grade. Greg was more than a classmate to us, he was a true friend...kind, caring, and protective. At school, Greg was extremely popular and well-liked by all. He was an all-around great boy; excelling both academically and athletically. His smile and laugh were infectious and his rosy, red cheeks and blonde, curly locks simply adorable. Although we enjoyed our time with Greg at school, this joy paled in comparison to the fun we had with Greg after school. We spent countless hours playing outside with Greg; most often at his house and our game of choice-"Hide and Seek".
The day we learned that the Johnson family would be moving to Whitegates was a difficult one. However; Greg alongside Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, Corey, Ryan, and Sarah, left an indelible mark in our hearts and minds.
Now, as adults, we frequently reminisce about our childhood and more often than not, we think fondly of our time spent with Greg as two of his many childhood friends. We have read the other messages and whole-heartedly agree with everyone that Greg was truly one in a million. We consider ourselves honoured and lucky to have called Greg a friend.
Love,
Meredith and Michelle

To Greg's family: I was new to Concorde in March 2018 and he is one person that my staff and I deeply appreciated as he went the extra mile every time I called, he didn't care about his time, he just "got 'er done" for me. Transitioning 15 years of B/D business is tough, but he and others at Concorde always made us feel "at home" and I trust Greg is at home in heaven now. Besides the "can do" attitude he provided to my team and I, my other memory is me giving him a hard time for always sounding like he had 'no time' when I called...I'd tell him to take a deep breath (he did) and we always laughed about that, then he placed the trade I needed and I knew he'd always call me back if I missed him live on the next call. I lost my brother a few years ago without notice, and this was a total surprise to learn of Greg's sudden passing, so I know the feeling. My heart sunk on this news too, but I'm glad he was so loved by you / his immediate family. Greg made me feel part of the Concorde family. Visiting with him in Detroit recently, albeit quickly, and remembering his patented, infectious smile, creates tears of appreciation for the brief time right now...so proud I was able to work with Greg. He was a Blessing to my company. Thank you!

Kristin, Carson, Piper:
We in Nashville and with the Predators are so saddened by the passing of Greg. When we started our franchise in 1998, we were looking to develop a culture ... a "Predator Way" ... and Greg Johnson was the epitome of what we were looking for in a player, and more importantly, in a person, both on and off the ice.
Greg's positive effect on our franchise, the way he treated people, the way he participated in our community, set the tone for our players and franchise from day one, and it continues today.
We are very sorry for your loss, but know that all of us with the Predators have nothing but great memories of Greg.

I was three years behind Greg in highschool and all us minor niners looked up to him and everyone knew he would make it to the NHL one day soon. He was our local hero who was so humble and kind to us younger kids. I followed his career and when he was named the captain of the preds I was so proud of him and all that he worked for to get there. My heart goes out to his Family and to his friends.

I was fortunate to teacher Mr. Johnson's two smart, beautiful, kind, loving, empathetic daughters, Carson and Piper. Though I did not know Greg, his daughters show what an amazing dad he must have been to them. My heart is with you Carson and Piper and I am praying for your wonderful memories of your dad to bring both of you and your mom and extended family some peace and comfort during this very difficult time. Love you both.

It's with a heavy heart that I write about my good friend
Greg was known to the hockey world as Johnny.
The memories I have of my friendship with Johnny go beyond being teammates! I consider myself extremely fortunate to call Johnny one of my closest friends in the game. Our families were very close during our time in Nashville. Greg and Kristin were the first teammates Kerry and I met back on July 6th, 1998. Our close relationship grew from there.
Johnny and I hadn't spoken in some time but when we did talk, he would always address me in his Yogi Bear voice, Fitzy Boy hows it goin.
He was a fantastic player on the ice. For me, he will go down as the best defensive forward in Predators history. As good as he was on the ice, He was even a better human being!
Our Hockey world lost a great person!
What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us. Helen Keller
All our great memories of Johnny will be with us forever.

Although my wife and I never had the pleasure of meeting Greg, I have known his brother Ryan and Ryan's family for over six years now. Through our friendship with Ryan, it is evident that the entire Johnson family all share in the same values and moral standards many in our world fall short of regularly. We wish everyone our very best and are thinking of Greg, Kristin, Carson, Piper and the rest of Greg's family and friends.

Please know that so many of us are thinking of you at this saddest of times . I remember Greg from Junior Kindergarten at Isabella school and the class skating at the Gardens . His talent was obvious then and his sweet nature was no less apparent. He went on to play hockey with our son Brock so we were privileged to see his talent evolve! . Words seem so empty at this time but please know we are thinking of all of you !

I grew up playing various different sports with Corey, and I got to know Greg at a very young age. He was the first person in my life who I idolized. I was in awe of his athletic ability at every sport he played. Greg was simply the best at everything he did. As incredibly gifted and talented he was, Greg was an even better person, who treated everyone else with such respect and courtesy. Even though I haven't communicated with or seen Greg in almost 30 years, I was devastated to learn of his sudden passing. I continued to idolize Greg from afar while he accomplished so much in all aspects of his life. My heart goes to the entire Johnson family (Judy, Corey, Ryan and Sarah) for your tragic loss. Kristin, Carson and Piper - please know your husband/father was a hero to many people even when he was a kid and teenager growing up in Thunder Bay. To all his many friends and teammates, I mourn with you. Rest in peace Greg. You were one in a billion.

Kristin, Carson, and Piper,
Greg was truly a unique and exceptional man, and I was incredibly saddened to hear of his passing. I'm not sure there was ever a more amiable or considerate individual. His generosity and kindness were always present and foremost in his character. When I first met Greg at the studio, his modesty and humility were on full display. When he stated that he was from Canada, I asked him the appropriate follow-up question, Oh, did you play hockey? Without flinching he said, I played a little; every kid in Canada plays hockey. It wasn't until a couple weeks later that I learned of his NHL history. I know my words fall incredibly short in expressing my sorrow for your loss but know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time.

I got to know Greg over the summers at UND. When he came back from the Red Wings camp the word was out that he won the fitness contest for the team. I was already what I thought was in good shape but I said to myself, I am going to do everything that Greg does in the gym then I know I will be fit like a top NHLer. So it started and I watched him run on the gauntlet for 45 minutes straight and his sweat was dripping off of that machine. Then it was my turn and after 5 minutes I was done. Each day I kept working and did it along with some of his brutal stationary bike rides. Through this I eventually turned into the fittest guy on every team I played on. Fast forward and now I train players and Greg is still the standard I use to compare players too. I have had many players win their respective teams fitness awards at many levels, even at the NHL level. This is one of those examples of Greg leading by example. He set the bar and that bar helped me and continues to help young players today in the Carolina Hurricanes youth program and above. I really wish I could have told him that before we lost him. That said I hope he is resting and can see the fruits of his labor from above. I pray for you, Greg's family Kristin, Carson, and Pieper and the rest of the Johnson family to lean on your faith and families and get through this together. God Bless

To Kristen, Carson, Piper, Judy, Ryan, Sarah, and Corey.
As kids, my parents brought my sister and I to Montreal to see Greg play for the Detroit Red Wings. It was the first time I got to meet him. He was so friendly, and took time to chat with my dad and pose for a photo with me and my little sister (that photo hung on my childhood bedroom wall until my parents renovated it a few years ago). Greg was kind enough to stay and chat with us awestruck kids for as long as he did and was the last player to board the team bus. I can still remember one of Greg's teammates calling out from the bus: "Johnny, you coming?".
I had Greg's number 23 from his Detroit days on my hockey sweater that day, and after that would always pick him when I played the NHL '95 video game.
Growing up a province away from Greg and the Johnsons, it might seem strange that he had such an impact on me. Like all kids in my town, I loved to watch and play hockey, and having a family member make it to the NHL was such an incredible inspiration. Even though I didn't have a career in hockey, it is still a big part of my life.
I still have Greg's hockey cards, and am raising two little hockey fans of my own. I'll be proud to show my kids these mementoes and tell them about the excitement I had watching Greg play, and about the times I got to meet him after games; ever gracious he was in connecting for a few moments each time, which is but a small testament to the type of person he was. Greg inspired a generation in my family, and will continue to inspire the next.
My sincerest condolences to you all.

We are so very sorry for your incredible loss. Greg was a wonderful man, always so welcoming, friendly and kind to everyone. I had the pleasure of working with Greg for the last 2 + years. When we I was told that we were hiring an ex-NHL player with no industry experience to be our trader and he was going to get his series 7 in two weeks, I was skeptical. He not only passed that exam but knocked several more out of the park in a matter of months. He was amazing.
As everyone else said, Greg was incredibly humble and kind. He also had a great sense of humor. We would joke a lot, and tease about various things, but we both always knew it was a joke, and he was one of my favorite people to work with. He made us all laugh regularly.
Because Greg was so nice, I often wondered about where his competitive nature was. I couldn't imagine him getting in a fight on the ice and asked him about that. I finally saw his competitive side last fall during our company scavenger hunt. Unsurprisingly, his team one, though not without a little bit of exaggeration of the rules. I won't forget how Greg like to remind us about that, proudly displaying the trophy at his desk.
My heart goes out to Kristin, Carson and Piper. I can't imagine how you are feeling and wish we could take the pain away. I miss him every day, expecting him to walk by and say good morning as he passes. I hope for peace for the Johnson family.

My first memory of Greg was before I met him. It was when I met Ralph Johnson, his Grandpa, for the first time. The gleam in his eyes when he talked about Greg was nothing short of spectacular. He filled me in on every tournament win, goal and assistant goal stat. He had countless stories of games he had attended, watched and watched again. He remembered every detail. I thought, wow, this kid must be a superstar. He was, on and off the ice. I quickly became one of those Johnson's who took every opportunity to proudly watch Greg play when ever possible. Jeff and I always joked that we could spot those Johnson calves anywhere!
One of our fondest memories of Greg was when he was named player of the game during a Junior Championship game in Finland on December 29, 1990. Which just happens to be the day Kera was born. Such a cherished memory!
Jeff, Kera, Katie and I are beyond devastated by the loss of Greg at such a young age. We all send our love and heartfelt condolences to Kristin, Carson, Piper, Judy, Cory, Ryan and Sarah. You have all not left our hearts, thoughts and prayers since hearing your world has changed for ever. Our hearts break with you now and forever.

To Judy, Sarah, Corey and Ryan and Gregs family. We were shocked and saddened when we heard the news about Greg's passing. I have known the Johnson family since the boys were attendees at the Superior Hockey School in Thunder Bay. I had the pleasure of coaching both Corey and Ryan with the Thunder Bay Flyers and also coached Ryan at the Florida Panther rookie camp which Jim,their father, founded in Thunder Bay. I never coached Greg but instructed him at the hockey school and watched him develop through his minor hockey and junior into an elite player. Greg was the model student at the school, always so respectful and polite and so willing to learn. He was always the first in line to do the drills and if you needed someone to demonstrate a skill or drill, Greg was your man. We had to give out report cards at the end of the school and what could you say about Greg. He was as fast with the puck as without. So skilled and motivated! At the end of the school one year, Jim came to talk to me about what Greg could do to improve himself.I thought for a moment, smiled and said, could you get him to get a little bit bigger. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Johnson families. From the Colbon Family Thunder Bay

"I am so sorry for your loss", doesn't seem to be adequate, but some times in life leave you at a loss for words. Greg was kind, humble, and fun-loving, and it seemed he wanted everyone around him to feel as confident and enthusiastic as he was in everything he loved. He gave the impression that every person he met was going to be a friend - he cared for and related to everyone that crossed his path. He truly lit up a room by coming into it; his positive energy was always contagious. I wish I'd had longer to be his friend, but for the short time I knew him, he gave a glimpse of a person to aspire to become. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

The Johnson family created a home like no other. As a childhood friend of Sarah's, I spent many days and nights at the Johnson house. Through the eyes of a child, my memories of Greg were laughter, kindness and warm smiles. It was quite comforting especially sitting at the dinner table with 3 older brothers.
As an adult and parent, I always admired Greg's loving support for his children and wife and his dedication and drive to work for his goals all while maintaining a humble nature. These memories will live on forever.

Johnson Family,
I grew up in Thunder Bay and our families were intertwined by hockey but more importantly by friendship. Christmas was always a special time but some very fond memories come to me as I think about the great times at your household on Christmas Eve.
Growing up in the hockey mad community of Thunder Bay meant that you knew who Greg was and I was always surprised when we would arrive house and Greg would ask me how I was doing and what was going on with me. I guess that just who he was never did I sense from him anything but respect for all he knew.
Our condolences to the Johnson's.

As Captain of the Predators, Greg was the kind of leader that lead by example and all the players looked up to. He was the consummate professional at all times, and proud to wear the C on his jersey. I've read so many adjectives describing Greg, and they are all true...kind, giving, humble, respectful, family man, and friend. Greg passed too young and had so much more to give.

Kristin, Carson and Piper, I am in shock. To you and so many friends, words can't express my heartfelt compassion.
Greg had always been the voice over the phone when I called to make a trade and get some business done at Concorde. He was also a sounding board to evaluate some trades that I was looking to make. That's the work stuff.
Before I met Greg in person, I did not know what he looked like. I had never looked at LinkedIn to see a photo. The first time I saw his face was when I met him in person. The last time I saw him was in June at the conference. It felt like he sought me out to say hello as he greeted me with a smile.
What I never told Greg, was that the first time I saw him, the thought that came into my head was, I thought you were taller. That may sound weird but to me, Greg was taller. Taller in spirit. That thought had never left my mind either. I saw him at our annual conference and that thought popped back in my head He was taller to me because his presence was taller.
In January 2018, I lost my mother. She was my best friend, I spoke to Greg a few days later and before I got the business done, Greg's first question was to inquire, how are you doing Herb?
I can't know what you are going through but I can share with you what many of my mother's friends have said to me. You haven't lost your mother.. you have her character, her eyes, and her smile Just look in the mirror.
Carson and Piper, I hope you see the same one of you may have his nose, his eyes, his ears, his smile; all of which are you. Just look in the mirror. There is a characteristic of his walk or mannerism that you do, that will remind you of him. Even the way you speak a certain word or phrase.
Kristin, you will see all of these things every time you see your children. What a blessing.
I pray that joy fills your hearts every time you think of who Greg was in your lives.
Peace and many, many blessings

Although we both grew up in Thunder Bay, I did not have the pleasure of meeting Greg until, of all places, a soccer field in Rochester watching our daughters play. I was fortunate enough to coach with Johnny at Stoney Creek HS for a few years. His dedication and integrity at the rink were no different than when he played. It was a true honor to coach with him. My favorite story of Greg is more of a general theme. At times we would be talking and a story from our youth would come up. Whether it was a camp story, bush jacket, The Inntowner etc, at these times that great laugh and smile would always come out. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Kristin, Carson, Piper, and family. Sending all our love and support.

Almost all of my memories with Greg involve some sort of laughter. He had a witty, but gentle sense of humor. He was great co-worker these past few years, but even more amazing friend. When he wasn't teasing me and making me laugh, he always went out of his way to ask about my family. He was an amazing, humble and hard-working leader and the utmost role-model for everyone. Greg truly embodied what is great in this world and I am blessed to have witnessed and been a part of that, even if only for the few years I've known him. He has left a lasting footprint in my life and I will never forget his friendship. He spoke so highly of the three most important girls in his life, sharing stories and beaming like the proud dad he is, and your family will always be in my prayers. He accomplished so much in life, but still had so much to give. Truly a great taken too soon. Thanks for the memories, the friendship, and laughter, Greg. You will be sorely missed.

Kristin, Piper and Carson, We were so fortunate to have the entire Johnson family such an integral part of the original Nashville Predators team. Beyond the games, goals and on-ice accomplishments, Greg was such a terrific leader and ambassador for our franchise. His personality, his treatment of and respect for other people, his dedication, loyalty and approach to life made him a person and player for others to follow. His example showed our young players then and to this day how to be a professional. He had the unique ability to brighten anyone and everyone's day and made others feel special for having spent time with him. We will always appreciate his and the family's contributions to our organization and will miss him dearly. We are all better for having shared time with Greg. I offer my prayers and support to you today and in the days to come.

There are very few people who come into your life and can impact it so greatly that it can change the way you see the world completely. The world was a much better and more beautiful place with you in it. Everyone who knew you felt special to be in your company. Your contagious smile, welcoming ways and caring heart made an impact on anyone and everyone who had the privilege to meet you. You were the calming force to so many and helped all to feel okay no matter the circumstances that life throws our way.
To see your love and pride for your family was by far the most beautiful thing to witness. Your daughters are two of the kindest, most gentle and humble human beings that we have ever coached. They possess such undeniable strength, willpower, dedication and a work ethic that is like none other. These qualities are the makeup of an exceptional human being and that is what you and Kristin have taught your daughters. We feel blessed, we feel grateful and we will always and forever cherish our #1 DES Dance Dad!
Thank you for being the greatest supporter that our studio and dance family has ever had. We love you with all of our hearts and the world will not be the same without your beautiful presence.
With all of our love and thanks for what you have done for us and so many others!!
Kristin, Carson and Piper- We love your family like our own and will be here for you always and forever.
Love,

We are saddened to read of Greg passing. Our deepest sympathy is extended to you all!
Our memories of Greg, while attending Isabella Public School are now very precious!
His infectious smile, the kindness he always put forth, his love of sports and excelling at them all.
One recollection stands out, Greg was at one of our daughters birthday parties and his gift of nightgowns (which, Judy, we are sure you chose), the other boys in attendance were teasing Greg to put on in from of himself, which he did without hesitation with that infectious smile.
Heartfelt sympathy,
The Crocker Family

Greg Johnson, gone from this world too young! I recall him as a key "get 'er done" player for the cinderella story Canadian Olympic Hockey Team in 1994. He did it all - Jr. A national championship, NCAA with UND, World Jr. Championships 1991, Winter Olympics silver medal, 12 seasons in the NHL...Mr. Hockey hands down! R.I.P Greg Johnson. Deepest condolences to the entire Johnson family. It was truely a pleasure to have known Greg. Even if our time as friends was in the very beggining of such a wonderful career. I remember talking many times as young kids about playing pro hockey. He was able to make that dream come true. And I was very proud knowing that I was there when it all began.

It is with such a heavy heart I write this memory. We arrived in Nashville as the 'originals' and quickly bonded as families and Greg and Kristin were at the center of that. We spent kids birthdays together, partied together and enjoyed Nashville together. Greg was always the nicest, kindest gentleman. I remember when Tommy and I moved to Toronto and I had my ultrasound to find out I was having boy #4, the first call I made from my car on the way home was to Greg and Kristin. I was crying because I had wanted a girl so badly and Greg was cracking up that it was another boy, and Kristin was comforting me on the phone lol! I still laugh when I think about that. We shared many great times as friends and we respected Greg so much. He will be sorely missed and we hold Kristin, Carson and Piper as well as his mom and siblings in our hearts and prayers. We will never forget the great times we had and how close that Predators crew was. We love you Johnny and we will never forget you. RIP

I had the privilege of playing with Greg and occasionally rooming with him on road trips. Despite being two years younger than most of us he was far and away our best player On top of being a phenomenal talent he was a first rate individual. Always kind, always professional, always polite and considerate. His parents had every right to be beaming with pride but like Greg were always humble. When I coached with the Kings he volunteered to skate with the team. I told my players that Greg was the perfect role model because his success never changed him. His list of accomplishments is epic but his positive effect on those whose lives he touched is even greater still. We are all richer for having known him and he will be dearly missed

I supply taught many years ago and Greg was one of the students in the class. He told me he was going to play in the NHL and was very humble about the idea. Even though I was a supply teacher and saw his briefly
Every time I saw him after that, he always said hello and asked how I was and how hockey was going. (I play women's hockey in Thunder Bay). My thoughts and prayers to the Johnson family

Kristin,Carson,Piper and our very special friend Judy
My heart is hurting as I remember the times watching Greg growing up next door and becoming one of my idols. I admired his dedication and commitment to achieve his goals in life. He always called me mr.mallon and I always felt he meant the respect that went with it. He meant a lot to my kids and we were all blessed because of it. His Dad loved him and was always telling me what he was up to as he grew up especially after the games he was playing or the decisions that he had to make as his career progressed..one of a kind Greg was One of kind a special thanks to Greg for letting me drive his corvette and store it for him
I love you and miss you my friend I know you are in good hands up there jack

I am blown away by this terrible news. I have gotten to know Greg through our work. He has been one of my greatest resources throughout the years. He has always been positive, helpful and smiling through the phone. It was usually a problem as to why we spoke and he always made me feel better and ALWAYS fixed the problem. He would also always go out of his way to help figure something out. I am so sorry to his family to have lost such an incredible person way too early. My thoughts and prayers have been with you and will continue to be with you.

Greg was an ultimate gentleman! It was a joy working with him. He was kind, respectful and always went beyond the call of duty to assist me in accomplishing my task. I worked with him for close to four years and did not know about his accomplishments on ice until recently. He was a humble man. We were fortunate to have had Greg on our team. I will miss him. Greg was a great guy. I first met him when I joined Concorde in March of 2018 and he welcomed me to the firm. I had heard that Greg played in the NHL and asked my youngest son if he knew who Greg was. He said yes. He played a NHL 2K game as the Predators, we live in Atlanta so no NHL. By the time I returned to the home office in June on 2018 I was equipped with two Predator puck, for both sons, and ask Greg to sign them. He was so humble and asked did my sons really want the autograph? I will always remember how unassuming he was, but more importantly what a wonderful and genuine a person he was. Going to the Concorde office will never be the same, I always appreciate his humor and kindness. I am a better person for having known Greg.

Greg was a joy to watch during his career at the University of North Dakota. He had the Heart of a Champion, a Natural Leader, and a wonderful representative of his family. We enjoyed his days on ice at UND and after when in the NHL. He was taken from his family, friends, and fans way too soon.

My fondest memories...I wish I'd journaled them all. Greg was one of the most gentlest souls I've ever been blessed to know and call friend. His welcoming spirit and demeanor towards myself and my friends was the closest to Jesus I'd ever known. He was always smiling, positive, friendly and genuinely engaged. He doted on his little girls in the sweetest way. In the years I was blessed to share life with his family, I never once experienced him any other way. I can't say that about anyone I've ever known. He was one of a kind. His family has always held a special place in my heart and will forever. Heaven gained the very best soul this week. The very best.
Kristin, Carson, and Piper, I love you all and will be praying for your comfort. May your most treasured moments with your dad and husband bring you comfort. And always know that his spirit will always be with you. Always.
