DOROTHY DOUCET Obituary

The family of the late Dorothy Doucet are heartbroken to announce her passing on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, in the Transitional Care Unit at Hogarth Riverview Manor.

Dorothy was born in Inverness, Nova Scotia, and met Len in her teen years. They were married in 1952 in Edmonton and eventually settled in Thunder Bay. The were overjoyed to welcome Ann and Wayne, making their family complete.

Dorothy will be remembered for her love of family, friends, church, sweets and beer. The order can certainly be debated by anyone who knew her!

Dorothy is survived by daughter Ann (Brian), son Wayne, sister Anne, and brother Calixte (Dianne).

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Len in 1979.

A special thank you to the staff of the Transitional Care Unit of Hogarth Riverview Manor, for the incredible care, kindness and professionalism shown to mom and us during this most difficult time.

Funeral mass for Dorothy will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 11:00am, in St. Margaret's Church, 88 Clayte Street, celebrated by Father Ciaran Donnelly. Visitation will take place 1 hour prior to service time. A private family interment will take place following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society will be gratefully appreciated.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Everest Funeral Chapel, 299 Waverley Street, at Algoma.
