Anne Nazarec Obituary

NAZAREC Mrs. Anne Nazarec (nee Pozihun), age 76 years passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside on Saturday February 4th, 2006 at the St' Joseph's Hospital - Hospice Division. As was her wish she was cremated on Monday February 6th, 2006. Anne was born on December 4th, 1929 in Port Arthur to Peter and Margaret Pozihun. On February 18th, 1950, Anne and Maurice Nazarec married and became proud parents of Larry and later Tammy. Miss Anna (as she was affectionately known) had a great passion for the cultural field. She attended many well known Dance Schools in North America and never being satisfied in improving her knowledge and perfection in this field, she became an adjudicator in her own right. She organized her own Dance Studio, which she taught for over half a century. Still not being satisfied, she opened up a boutique catering to students interested in this field. Anne leaves behind her loving husband, Maurice, son Larry, daughter Tammy Eckman (Darrell), grandchildren Cassandra, Jessica, Brandon, brother Dan (Margaret), sisters Eleanor Kushnier (Stan), Nellie Crowe (Gerry), brother-in-law Stan Nazarec and many nieces and nephews. In 'Celebration of her life' a memorial will be held at the Italian Cultural Centre, 132 S. Algoma Street in Thunder Bay on Wednesday February 8th, 2006 beginning at 12:00 Noon. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations (if so inclined) to go to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation, 980 Oliver Road Thunder Bay, ON P7B 6V4"
