Marge Roberts, age 79, passed away peacefully at home with her husband by her side on July 9th, 2021. She was born May 8th, 1942 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and raised in Port Arthur/Thunder Bay. She began teaching in 1962 and left a few years later to raise her family. Once that was accomplished she returned to school and obtained degrees in Anthropology, Sociology and Library Science and then began a lengthy career at Confederation College as a Librarian until her retirement in 2006. Family and friends were the most important thing to Marge and she was the keeper of family traditions and loved those occasions when everyone was together. She also took pride in her Gabby girls and their club that has been together for 50 plus years and still continues to this day. She was very genuine in all her relationships and was always able to see the good in others. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Margaretta Black. Survived by her husband Peter, children Wade, Brant and Marnie and their spouses, 7 grandchildren, numerous cousins, her sister-in-law Ann and two special brothers-in-law, Leonard and Art. The family would like to thank the staff of the Regional Cancer Centre, for their kindness and care the last couple of years and Marge enjoyed the relationships she had developed with staff and physicians. If friends and family so desire, in lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Regional Cancer Centre. A family celebration of life will be held at a later date.

It is very sad to hear of Marge's passing. She was part of the Roberts/Stevens clan. She will be fondly remembered from the many holidays and gatherings she attended. She was wonderful, gentle and always had a smile or kind word to pass on. She truly was a treasure. My deepest condolences go out to my cousin Peter, his children Wade, Brant and Marnie. their children and all that loved her.

Dear Peter and Family! How very sad to read of Marge's passing. I worked with Marge at the College and always enjoyed her and our chats. My memories also take me back to Jumbo Garden's School when she would substitute for our teachers and that long black gorgeous hair of hers. We all loved her as a teacher. I was a student from 1968 to 1976. I remember she used to bring your kids to events at the school. I am so very sorry for your loss. May God bring you comfort in your grief. She was an amazing woman.
