Abe peacefully met with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A member of Keewaywin First Nation he was a well-respected Elder for many organizations. His passion for gospel music lead to many recordings. He was affectionately referred to as the “Prince of Gospel Music”. Abe was also a renowned Woodland artist who used his talent to teach his culture to others. CBC National News stated he was “A human bridge between cultures”. A kind, humble, wise, and humorous gentle man who is dearly missed. Survived by his wife Eva, Sons Conroy and Israel, Daughters Marlene, Tammy, and Jennifer, Brothers Max, Jimmy, Rene, Sisters Elizabeth, Madeline, 19 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Jenkens Funeral Home – Visitation Wednesday, January 9, 2019 – 11:00 am. Service to follow. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens

Dear Eva Mary and Familiy,

Eva, I just saw this. I had no idea. I am so very sorry for your loss. Abe was a very kind man and well respected. He will be missed by the community.
