Sheila Parent Obituary

May 8, 1946 - Feb 2, 2021

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Sheila Parent.

Sheila was born May 8, 1946 in Schreiber, ON., the pride and joy to her parents Margret and Russell Weaver, as well as her older siblings Russell (Sonny), Joan and Pat.

Growing up in Schreiber she met and married Art Parent Sept. 7, 1968. Together they had two sons.

Sheila, and family were relocated to Thunder Bay in 1988, always staying closely connected to her closest friends and family in Schreiber. Trips to Wilson Island family camp, bingo, watching hockey, curling and favorite dance shows, and playing games on her tablet were among her many passions. Sheila was legendary for her wonderful cooking and family parties which included every party favor imaginable. Sheila was a wonderful mother and loved her son's more than life itself.

Sheila is survived by her two sons, Cory and Curtis, and her Devoted Partner Ernie Young. Predeceased by her parents Margret and Russell Weaver, late husband Arthur Parent, siblings Russell Weaver, and Joan (Weaver) Cardiff.

Sheila will be missed tremendously by her family and friends, graciously remembered on every special day of celebration through out every year ahead.

Rest in peace mom,
gone but never forgotten.

Love You!
Cory, Curtis and Ernie xox

Such a fun loving beautiful lady. I’ve known Sheila for most of my life. Growing up with her sister Pat’s family (being neighbours to them for years), Sheila and her family were always around. Creating laughter was Sheila’s number one priority!
She will be dearly missed.

Sheila will be missed by her FWFN bingo family! I loved sitting with her and playing bingo and balls games. She was a very kind, quiet and generous lady. I will miss her.

We grew up together in Schreiber when her family lived next door to my grandfather. Had lots of good times playing together and just hanging out. Have not seen much of her since she moved to Thunder Bay but sounds like she had a good life there. RIP Sheila!
