Joseph Edward Davis, age 74, died on April 4, 2021 at home in Homosassa, Florida.
He was a beloved husband, friend and uncle. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Cox Davis; brothers-in-law Art Strange, William A. (Virginia) Cox, James E. Cox; nephews, Jason Strange, Mickey Strange, Jared Cox; nieces Sarah Cox and Rachel Vandameer; as well as many great nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie E. Davis and Ruby Mixon Davis and his sister, Juanita Strange.
Joe was born and raised in Texarkana, Arkansas and lived there until 1980. Joe was an Air Force Veteran and member of the American Legion. He worked in the Nuclear industry for 34 years moving around the country.
His hobbies were boating, water skiing, golf and playing pool. Joe enjoyed life, people and adventures. He loved moving to new places and making new friends which have become like family. He had a great sense of humor and a loved of life.
There will be a Celebration of Life this summer in his hometown, Texarkana, Arkansas.
Private cremation is under the direction of Brown Funeral Home & Crematory in Lecanto, FL.
