Diane Gertrude Hogue Obituary
Diane Gertrude Hogue, age 75, of Inverness, FL, passed away April 12, 2018, at Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, Lecanto, FL, while surrounded by her loving family.
Diane was born on November 23, 1942, in Gouverneur, N.Y. to the late John Gordon and Audrey Mae (Shampine) Edwards. She was married to Martin "Corky" Hogue for 57 years. After relocating from Gouverneur, N.Y., Diane and Corky made Citrus County their permanent home in 2000 after visiting Florida as Snowbirds for a few years. She was primarily a Homemaker throughout her lifetime but did work as a Teacher's Aide for a number of years. Diane was a Methodist by faith and attended the First United Methodist Church of Inverness. She was a volunteer for "God's Kitchen" while residing in New York and later became the Co-Chair of the organization after moving to Inverness. Diane enjoyed gardening and especially liked growing flowers and herbs. She also liked to swim in her pool and enjoyed it when the children in the neighborhood would come over to take a swim with her. Diane also liked to read and was an avid Bridge Player.
In addition to her loving husband, Martin "Corky" Hogue, those left to mourn Diane's passing include her son, Jon Hogue of Tampa, FL; daughters: Denise Kingsley of Gouverneur, N.Y., Natalie Kelley and her husband Jonathan of Fowler, N.Y.; brother, David Edwards and his wife Sandy of Gouverneur, N.Y.; grandchildren: Dustin and Kristopher Kelley; and great grandchild, Morgin Kelley. Diane was preceded in death by son in law, David Kingsley.
