Larry Benjamin Johnson, 57, of Lecanto, FL, died Sunday, November 14, 2010. Born June 3, 1953, in Camden, NJ, to Hudson B. and Doris (Applegate) Johnson, he came here 39 years ago from Williamstown, N.J. He was the owner and operator of Larry's Appliance Repair and A/C in Lecanto, FL, and was very dedicated to those he served. Larry enjoyed being a former football coach at Crystal River High School, water sports and working out. He attended Gulf to Lake Church in Crystal River, FL.
Surviving are his loving wife of 10 years, Noel Johnson of Lecanto, FL; sons, Aaron Homan of Gainesville, FL, Eric Johnson of Spring Hill, FL, and Taylor Ockman of Lecanto, FL; a daughter, Kourtney Cooper of Gainesville, FL; 4 grandsons; and 1 granddaughter.
Private cremation arrangements are under the care of the Strickland Funeral Home Crystal River, FL.

Noel and family, I'm so so sorry to hear about Larry's passing. What a shock! He was such a fine man; hardworking and kind. Our prayers are with you and the kids.

Noel, and Family; Grief is a very difficult thing, try taking each memory shared about Larry's life, as a gift to hold on to, and remember that he was very special to many people. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him; all of you will be in our thoughts and prayers for many days to come.

Noel - We were so saddened to hear of Larry's passing. Larry was a wonderful person and he was always willing to help when needed. He was a great coach who enjoyed working with the kids. He was also a terrific repair man who always went out of his way to make sure things were in working order. He will be missed. He was a wonderful person and friend. I have known Larry for 20+ years as a friend, wonderful and protective neighbor and repairman. If I ever needed anything, he was there, no matter what time of day or night. He took pride and praise in his work, which was impecable. May God rest his soul and be with Noel and his family.

Dear Noel,

How shocked Andy and I were to learn of the news of Larry's passing yesterday. What a wonderful friend you both have been to us. Can not begin to talk about Larry's faithfulness to me personally while a Property Manager at Key 1.....it never waivered. He always was willing to go out of his way to be of help. He was trusted completely and loved by every one who met and knew him!
