Walter H. MD PHD, loving husband of Jane M. Herzog (nee McDonald), devoted father of Catherine Herzog, Louis Herzog, Michael (Julie) Brubaker, Robert (Cali) Herzog, Ronald (Betsey) Herzog, Nancy Herzog and the late Alexander Herzog, cherished grandfather of Zachary, Maddy & Curtis Herzog, Josephine & Toby Brubaker, Chloe, Samuel, Daniel, Emma & Jacob Herzog, dear brother of Raymond (Sylvia) Herzog, also survived by numerous nieces, nephews & friends. Monday, October 27, 2014. Age 77 years. Friends & family are invited to attend a Visitation from 4 to 7 PM Thursday at the Dalbert, Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home, 2880 Boudinot Ave., 45238. So very sad to hear of Doc's passing. He always had a smile on his face and I had nice conversations with him at the nurses station at old st. Francis hospital and Mercy Western Hills. May he rest in peace!

I worked with Dr Herzog for several years. He was a wonderful man. My fondest memory of him was that he loved his coffee and doughnut every morning when he worked with us. When he had to give it up after having surgery, I spoke with and he was not to happy. He made me laugh. He will be missed

I took my Mom, Lil, to see Dr. Herzog for many years. Even in the winter months we looked forward to this, to hear his funny stories, to listen to him laugh, to know Mom was getting the best care possible. I realize now this was because he in turn looked forward to seeing us too. His patients weren't numbers to him. He really cared about everyone. Jane and the rest of his family and his friends are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dr. Herzog was a very respected and caring physician. He was the on-call cardiologist when my father was taken to the hospital with a severe heart attack, and was resuscitated in the ER. He did the catheterization and recommended immediate transfer to Christ Hospital, where he underwent successful bypass surgery. I will always remember his skill and his caring attitude. I had cared for many of his patients before that as an RN. He will be sorely missed, and the family is in my prayers. Our loss is heaven's gain. Sincerely, Kathryn Gammell

My dear Mother was referred to Dr. Herzog in June 1986 but, unfortunately, she passed away in July 1986. Dr. Herzog was a very good doctor who cared deeply about his patients. May he Rest in Peace!
