Rest In Peace my dear friend of long ago, and one day we shall meet once again.
Dave you were the one person that I could talk to about everything and you were very easy to talk to.
You had the biggest heart.
Dave you were the most friendliest person, and had the very best personality.
One day my mama and I stopped in your grocery store and I was told that you'd passed away and I felt my heart crying for my good friend that I'd never ever see again.
It's now been 10yrs since you left here to go live with the angels.
My heart still aches for you my friend and I still cry for you.
One day I'll come visit you where you now reside.
Farewell My Ole Friend from the long ago days until we meet once again.
Gone way too early

Dave was truly a good soul. He wasn't just the owner of a carry-out; people could talk to him as they would a pastor or a priest in a confessional booth. And yes, he made one heck of a sandwich! There are a lot of happy people in heaven right now!

The world has lost one of the most caring and kind hearted man I've ever known. I started working for Dave & Sandy when I was 13. He was well known for his kindness to those who didnt have enough to pay, sometimes knowing he'd never get it back, he just keep giving...Dave, I know your up there with all the others from our small town of Marathon, prolly making your famous "Dave sized" sandwiches. I am honored to have been a employee and a friend to you! Rest in peace my friend! Tonya

Dave was person that once you met him you immediatly fell in love with him. Dave helped so many people by giving groceries that he knew he never get paid for with money. But, his payment was knowing he kept someone from going hungry. He loved everyone and proved it time and time again with his generosity. Our little community has lost a man who was not only loved but respected by those that knew him. My sincere condolences to Sandy, Jarrod, David, Heather, Janet and sons and his many, many friends and extended family.
RIP my friend.
