I fear that I will never laugh as hard as I did with Jared, again...we had the same sense of humor and sometimes didn't even need to speak and just a shared look would make us burst out laughing (at work, too :) )... I will miss Jared dearly and with all my heart. Wish I could be there tomorrow... Jared, may God bless and keep you.

Reading these tributes to a friend that has moved on too early, it is evident of the love that was around you. Friends from Arizona to DC have all commented about the love and laughter that you brought them. It is a great tribute to who Jared was that his gregarious personality touched so many.
Prayers for your family, that those that mourn will be comforted. Memories of your laugh will always be with us. Thoughts of how you impacted us will fill us. My prayer for you is that you were welcomed into Heaven into the loving arms of the angels.

My condolences to the Barlage Family.
Jared was a great friend to me and I will remember the times we had while he was in DC with Adelaide, Hildegard,Duq and Dutkari. Also,our chats on Facebook,email and over the phone about politics, the parody musicals (He loved the YOLO one) and of course providing you with Dolly,Willie, Kenny and other "Country Fun" videos while you was in Odessa. I know you are giving a big hug to your mom Ginny and Will. You brightened everyone's heart while on Earth and you continue to do so in Heaven. Till we meet again
Love you Always "Jer Bear".

Jared:
Your laughter and smile beguiled us;
Your untimely death has confounded us:
Your joie de vivre always inspired us;
We are all the better and richer to have known and loved you, but now that you've gone, the world is a little colder and crueler for each of us.
I will miss you forever, my little brother.

When I lived in Cincinnati, Sarah took me home to meet her family, and the Barlages instantly became MY family. I spent many holidays with them, and Ginny was like a mom to me and Jared like a brother. Saying an earthly goodbye to both of them in the same year is heartbreaking, but I take comfort in thinking of the fun that Ginny and Jared and other loved ones are having together now. Can you imagine the laughter at this moment? I am also thankful for times we shared. I will always be grateful to Jared, too, for teaching me what a proper sconce is, and when I remember him, I think of him dancing around in his plaid slacks and teal blazer. Not many men could pull that off, but Jared could! I will continue to pray for Hank, Sarah, Amy, Ben, Shug (sorry, Kate, it's how I remember you), and all his nephews and nieces who I am sure adored Uncle Jared. No one who loved Jared will ever forget him.

Jared, I am so bummed that you left so early in your life. And I feel for your family as their loss is so much more profound than mine. I don't know if I told you enough how much you meant to me. I hold you in the highest of esteems. When I think of you, it's sad right now, but mostly, it makes me smile.
