Pearl Catherine, age 81 of Independence, KY died Thursday April 10, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Edgewood. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Nola (Keller) Mardis. Brother, Jerome L. Mardis and two nephews. She is survived by a brother, Daniel H. Mardis, Sr. Three nephews; Jerome Mardis, Dean Mardis and Alan Mardis, Sr. One Niece, Sonia Faris. 3 great nephews and 2 great nieces. Pearl was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church. She retired from Western Southern Life Insurance Company and also retired from WVXU Radio Station. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Wednesday April 16, 2014 at St. Barbara Catholic Church, 4042 Turkeyfoot Rd., Erlanger, KY 41018. Visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday prior to mass at the church. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, KY.
