Chris was a sweet and considerate neighbor who always greeted my family with a welcoming smile. I will miss waving our greetings to one another, seeing her working in the garden, and sitting on her porch on Halloween handing out candy. She will be missed.

Obituary Christine Marie Voet, Dec 6 2019 at 60
As many of us have been told, Chris was the first born in Cincinnati; a happy inquisitive child. She was creative and industrious from the start. As a grade school student at St Ursula Villa she discovered Girl Scouting and brought support and friendship to fellow girls as she excelled in her many interests and turned them into achievement resulting in the honor of the Marian Award recognizing her spiritual development and contributions in discipleship. She excelled in academics organized collaborative learning in high school continuing at St Ursula Academy gradating as the valedictorian of her class!
Although it may have seemed like she was stuck in a Norman Rockwell painting, she really lived with much more pizzazz. Her creative verve drove her to study at the College of Design Architecture Art and Planning resulting in many innovative contemporary garment constructions that appeared on countless runways. Her interest in the fabric of artistic creation brought her to Miami University where she earned a Masters in Textile Design. Her career as a designer resulted in dresses for young girls, planning of department store lines at Mercantile, adaptive clothing for people with disabilities and rugs.
In recent years she ran an exclusive alteration service providing custom bridal gown alterations contributing much celebration and joy to many weddings! Her intuitive sense of empathic understanding combined with her unique creative skills have been an ongoing an essential contribution to many lives and innovative projects! She has always shared that death is part of life and has exuded love and brought joy to those she has touched. We will miss her and do our best to share what she has given to us!

I was sorry to hear of the unexpected passing of Chris. We had met many years ago through a mutual friend. We kept in touch as the years passed.
I was just thinking of her this past week anticipating her annual Christmas card and update note. My anticipation of news has now changed to a sense of loss. I hope her passing was peaceful.
Her family and many friends will be in my thoughts as we enter this first Christmas season without her.
