Jerome Bernard Bauman, age 73, of Lebanon, Ohio, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2015. Jerry Is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Sue Bauman (nee Lawton) and their two beloved children, Julie Ann Smythe (nee Bauman) and Steven Wayne Bauman (Lisa), one sibling, Gregory L. Bauman (Alice), dear sisters-in-law Evelyn Louise Garrett (nee Lyons) and Barbara Ann Pedoto (nee Lawton) (Joseph). Jerry was the beloved grandfather of Anthony Austin Smythe, Olivia Diana Bauman, and Benjamin Hart Bauman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In 1965, Jerry opened Executive Office Supply, which provided office supplies, equipment, and furniture to members of the Montgomery, Ohio, and surrounding communities. During two of those early years, Jerry served as president of the Montgomery Businessmen's Club. He was also an avid golfer and participated in several local leagues. Executive Office Supply soon grew and moved to larger quarters at 9290 Kenwood Road in Blue Ash, Ohio, where Jerry's building was well known for the iconic "pencil" perched on the roof of his building. In more recent years, Jerry expanded his business and developed a new specialty, the custom metal and mailbox business which includes custom mailboxes, posts, estate gates and signs. Cincy Mailbox Installers is still in operation at the Kenwood Road address in Blue Ash and specializes primarily in custom quality mailboxes and posts. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Strawser Funeral Home, 9503 Kenwood Road, Blue Ash, Ohio 45242. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 7th, at 11:00 a.m., at All Saints Catholic Church, 8939 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45236, followed by burial at Rest Haven Memorial Park, 10209 Plainfield Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45241.
