High Bridge, MO - Trudy Smith, 77, of High Ridge, Missouri passed away on April 29, 2021.
Born Gertrude Ann Osburg on September 4, 1943 in Kentucky, she graduated from Academy Notre Dame of Providence High School in 1961. She married Stephen Smith of Bellevue, Kentucky on September 18, 1965. They lived in Cincinnati and later Fairfield, Ohio with their four daughters and relocated to Missouri in 2001.
Trudy enjoyed reading, photography, sewing, painting, scrapbooking, making crafts, doing needlework, and playing board games and cards. She was a talented hairdresser, cake decorator, and gardener. She took many trips with family and was very active in her grandchildren's lives.
Trudy was preceded in death by her parents Franklin C. and Nell (Diehm) Osburg and siblings Margie Whitehead, James Osburg, Fred "Oz" Osburg, and Ted Weiner.
She is survived by husband of over 55 years Stephen A. Smith of High Ridge, Missouri; daughters Karen (Barry) Galloway, Margie Smith, Nancy (Bruce) Johnson, and Vicky Herbel; siblings Rev. Frank "Bud" Osburg, Sister Claire Osburg, and Pearl (Neil) Leonard; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 5 at St. Phillip's Catholic Church, 1402 Mary Ingles Hwy., Melbourne, Kentucky 41059 followed by a reception at the Parish Center.
