William Clifford "Zig" Ziegler, 85 of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on Sunday September 24, 2017. He was born on October 11, 1931 in Cincinnati to the late Clifford and Helen (nee Ellinghausen) Ziegler. Bill worked for the Local Union (#59) all his life and retired as a Business Agent for the Union. In 1992 he and his wife Barbara, moved to Boca Raton, FL. After 18 years they moved back to Cincinnati to be close to family. William enjoyed golfing and enjoying life with his family.Bill is preceded in death by his wife Barbara (nee Strassel) Ziegler, daughter: Amy Jo Ziegler, parents: Clifford and Helen (nee Ellinghausen) Ziegler, and brothers: Dale & Charles "Chuck" (Bonnie) Ziegler. Survivors include his daughters: Lauri (Rodney) Ziegler Bischoff and Jennifer Ziegler Umberg; step-children: William J Raaker and Deborah (Frank) Raaker Daria; 8 grandchildren: Morgan (Joe) Bischoff Davies, Dustin Bischoff, Jacob and Tyler Umberg, Brittney and Madison Raaker, Leslie and Jenna Daria; Sister-in-law: Nancy Ziegler; and extended family. A Celebration of Zig's life for Family and Friends will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 1 PM til 4 PM at Fernbank Park Lodge, 50 Thorton Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45233.Memorials may be made to American Foundation for Suicide prevention (In Memory of Amy Jo) through Brater-Winter Funeral Home, 138 Monitor Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45233.
