Lieutenant Commander Gregory "Greg" Ray Schweitzer, of Covington, KY passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the age of 41. Greg was in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and a member of Community Family Church in Independence, KY. He enjoyed fishing, sporting events and the great outdoors. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his loving family and friends. Greg is survived by his devoted wife, Shauna Schweitzer; children, Brayden (Jaclyn) Schweitzer, Emory Schweitzer, Ashlyn Schweitzer and Moriah Schweitzer; parents, Ray & Margie Schweitzer; sister, Lisa (Frank) Schneider; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation for Gregory will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Community Family Church, 11875 Taylor Mill Rd, Independence, KY 41051. A funeral service will be held the following day Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will immediately follow at Alexandria Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Greg's name may be made to help further his children's education c/o Community Family Church. Online condolences may be expressed at www.chambersandgrubbs.com.

I couldn't have been more shocked to hear this tragic news. Though I only worked with Greg on a few occasions, I was always so impressed by his energy, knowledge, and professionalism. Deepest condolences to his family during this difficult time.
