Murl RUSH Obituary

RUSH . Murl H. Jr., 83, of Stonelick Two. passed away October 20, 2004. Loving husband of Marilyn (nee King). Devotred father of Ann (David) Edelberg and Catherine (Tim) Rush-Ossenbeck. Caring grandfather of Benjamin, Cody, Nicholas and Marilyn. Murl is also survived by his brother, William (Delores) Rush, his sister, Wanda (Don) Rush Westheffer, his niece, Carol (Dennis) West and nephew, Murl E. (Carla) Westheffer.| . He was preceded in death by his nephew, Gary Westheffer. As a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, Murl was responsible for the preparation of topographical maps used for the invasion areas of England, Africa, all of France and Europe. Following his military service, Murl worked as an early pioneer in television, serving as Art Director for WKRC T.V. in Cincinnati for 26 years. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Western Hill/Cheviot Lodge and a member of the Scottish Rite. After retiring from WKRC, Murl turned hs skills t fine art where he focused on painting native American culture and the old west. Visitation will be on Sunday, Oct. 24th. from 3-6 P.M. at Craver-Riggs Funeral Home & Crematory, 529 Main St., Milford. Funeral services will be on Monday Oct. 25th at 11 A.M. at Faith United Methodist Church, 5th & Wood in Batavia. Interment will be in Fayetteville, WV. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clermaont Co. Humane Society or to the American Cancer Society.
