Ed loved to regal me with his stories from his childhood when we drove to carving meetings. I enjoyed every moment.
I will miss him.

Ed Gallenstein was a great friend to the woodcarving world and contributed much to the encouragement and advancement of the art of wood carving through his leadership to National Wood Carving Association and the editorship of Chip Chats. He always had a delightful story to tell of his days in the newspaper business, growing up in Maysville, KY, attending the Germantown, Kentucky Fair and of woodcarving associates. We are all better persons for knowing this gentle spirit of a man and the best that he was continues to live on in our hearts and minds with sincere appreciation. Thank you, Ed.

Ed was certainly one of the most gentlest men I knew. He will fit well in the heavenly multitude. Blessings and peace to all his family and friends.
