TODD

Ashley (49) passed away on September 23, 2015 surrounded by the love of her husband, Michael U. Todd, MD; sons, Chandler and Cameron; and father, Jack Simons. She is also survived by her brother John Simons (Callie); Michael's parents, Tom and Diane Todd; his sister, Susan Todd (Andrew); his brother Andy Todd (Janet) and nine nieces and nephews. Ashley was predeceased by her mother, Patsy. After graduating from Duke University and Vanderbilt Law School, Ashley began a short but successful legal career with a national law firm in Chicago. She chose to resign so she could channel her full talent and love towards raising Chandler and Cameron and supporting Michael's medical practice. Ashley was also very active in her community. Among other charitable activities, she organized a charity bike ride to benefit the Alzheimer's Association, promoted healthy meals for schools, and helped establish safe biking lanes in the village of Wyoming. She loved biking, reading, traveling, cooking, hiking, fitness and Neahtawanta, Michigan. Along the journey, she quietly attracted a broad network of admiring "angels." These classmates, co-workers, bicyclists, bible students, lacrosse parents, parishioners, family members and friends were drawn to her obvious intelligence, grace and faith. Every day she revealed a powerful, yet unassuming strength that continues to inspire all of us. Memorials should be directed to the Neahtawanta Legacy Fund c/o Treasurer, 621 Yale Ave., Terrace Park, Ohio 45174 or Companions on A Journey Grief Support, 8557 Cincinnati Dayton Road, Suite 002, West Chester, Ohio 45069.
