Margaret was a wonderful person - excellent teacher, easy to talk to and supportive when you had a problem. The WILL program was her gem. Privileged to know her.

We had the pleasure of meeting Margaret on a vacation trip on the Victory Chimes in Penobscot Bay, Maine, a number of years ago. She is the only person with whom we ever maintained contact following a vacation. While our contact was not frequent, our lives were certainly enriched by having known her. She was a very special person. Deepest sympathy to Eileen.

Margaret was a colleague of mine for several years, and we shared many interests. She had enormous respect and high standards for her students and was a valued colleague. She had an adventurous spirit and cared about the earth, and I learned from her.

Miss Guentert was my high school English teacher. She was personable and brought out the creativeness of her students while having fun at the same time. I learned a lot from her.

I am so sorry to hear of Margaret's passing.
She was such an encouragement and supporter as I became a part of the teaching pool for the Wilmington College WILL program.
Always imaginative and perseverant, she was a part of getting me back to the joys of teaching, even when I though that part of my life was "retired."
God bless and give peace to this inspiring and
tireless teacher of us all. She will be missed, and she will be thought of fondly for a very long time.
Thank you Margaret!!

Miss Guentert was considered the best of the best when I was in HS. I didn't have her for class, but friends did and loved her. I got to know her in later years. She was lovely and funny. She had high expectations and many students went on to fulfill those because of her dedication.

Ms. Guentert was the best teacher I encountered in all my years of learning. She was kind and compassionate, and beyond committed to supporting her students. I am grateful to have had the honor of being one of her students; I learned so much from her. May family and friends find peace during this difficult time.
