James "Dalph" Jones, Sr.
Weaverville - James "Dalph" Jones, Sr., age 77, of 360 Barnardsville Hwy., died Wednesday, January 23, 2013.
Mr. Jones was born June 30, 1935, in Buncombe County where he had lived all of his life. He was formerly employed at Buncombe County Schools. He was preceded in death by his parents, James C. and Willie James Burnette Jones; and son, Scott Lee Jones.
Surviving are his wife, Lynda Crisp Jones; daughters, Donna Robinson and husband Alvin, and Stephanie Cassel; son, James Jones, Jr., and wife Jody; sisters, Joanne Hendrix, Evelyn Styles, and Iva Nell Parham; brothers, Robert Edwin Jones, William Thomas Jones, and Richard Jones; grandchildren, Tim Jones, Jonathan Robinson, Ryan and Noah Cassel; great granddaughter, Madilyn Marie Jones.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 27, 2013, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Rev. Steve Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Piney Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

To all Dalph's Family.I'm so sorry for your loss of your Husband,Dad,Granddad,Brother and My friend.I've always felt like a part of your family.We will miss him here on earth.He is now in the arms of Jesus but will remain in our hearts always.Love and prayers to you all.

sis and all my family there we are so sorry to hear about dalph passing , your all in our prayers, dalph was a fighter all the way.GOD knew he was tired and sent his best angels to carry him to his heavenly home we have the promise from GOD that we will all meet dalph and all our loved ones gone on home again someday. our love and prayers go out to all our family there. sis carol ,Charlie, and brother larry
