Ted Anderson
Weaverville - Ted Anderson, 75 of Freedom Ridge, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away suddenly at his home Tuesday, October 22, 2013. Ted was born March 30, 1938 in Big Pine Community of Madison County, and was the 15th child of the late William and Martha Roberts Anderson. He enlisted in the US Army pre-vietnam and was stationed in Germany and stateside during his enlistment. He then worked for the USDA as an inspector and married the late Norma Banks. Ted and Norma had three children, Rebecca, Denise and Eric Anderson. Ted is also preceded in death by his daughter Denise.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Patsy Ann Goldsmith Anderson; children, Rebecca Anderson (William Osborne) and Eric Anderson of Whitewater, WI., Charles Anderson (Stacey) of Elizabethton, TN. And Marty Johnson (Darlene) of Marshall, NC,; grandchildren, Nathaniel Smith (Tiffany) of Madison, WI, Amy Nicholas (Joshua) of Racine, WI, Sarah Hendrickson of Lima, OH, Rachel Johnson of Marshall, NC, Madison Anderson of Johnson City, TN and Jamie Ray of Asheville, NC and great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, October 25, 2013 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Pastor Robert Hawkins will officiate. Burial will follow in Upper Laurel Baptist Church Cemetery with Mars Hill VFW Post 5483 conducting graveside rites.

Ted was a great guy. Enjoyed him so much when he worked at Ingles & at other times when I saw him. He always had a friendly attitude and was filled with joy. He will be greatly missed.
