Rachel Marie Roberts
Hope Mills - Rachel "Rosebud" Marie Roberts, 33 of Hope Mills, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2013.
Rachel was born on March 8, 1980, at Shaw Air Force Base, SC, to Jerry and Marie Hyatt. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Johnny F. Connor.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband, Shawn Roberts; children, Katelyn and Taylor McPhail, Dylan Wingate, Elizabeth Appleyard, Kirsten, Taylor and Emilee Roerts; two grandchildren; sisters, Debbie McCaw and Krystal Moeschet; brothers, Brandon McCaw and Joseph Hyatt; grandmother, Mildred R. Connor; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Rachel was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Operation Iraqi Freedom where she was wounded.
Funeral Services will be 2 PM Tuesday, November 5, 2013, in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Pastor George Akers of FAC of Sanford, NC officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12 till 2 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to UNC Cancer Research, UNC LCCC, CB#7295, Chapel Hill, NC 27599.

She was an amazing mother. she would make dinner that you would absolutely love. she always found a way into peoples heart no matter how cold. She was my angel and hero.
