ALAN WADE JOYNER
ALEXANDER - Alan Wade Joyner, 48, of Alexander, died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, December 8th, 2012.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all.
He was born December 18th, 1963 to Donald Russell Joyner and Sandra Rose Caccamise Joyner in Rochester, NY. He was a resident of Buncombe County most of his life.
He was an avid fisherman who also enjoyed golfing and travel. He was a member of the Asheville Moose Lodge #781. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his aforementioned parents; his loving wife and soulmate of 25 years, Sharon Rice Joyner; two sons, Tim Shope of California and Jeremy Shope of Tennessee; a daughter, Summer Allison of the home; a twin brother, Lance Joyner; a brother Scott Joyner and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 15th, 2 PM at Penland Family Funeral Home in Swannanoa, NC. Alan's friends, Mike Thompson and Raymond Vail will speak at the memorial. The family will receive visitors at the home following the service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family to help with final expenses.
