Barbara Ann Brockwell
Arden - Barbara Ann Brockwell, 71, died on Thursday, January 10, 2012 at Mission Hospital. She was survived by her husband of 51 years Lloyd Brockwell, of Arden; son, Rodney Brockwell, of Charleston, SC; daughter Belinda Brockwell, of Hickory; and granddaughter, Lara Brockwell, of Columbia, SC. She was also survived by five sisters, Shirley Helton, of Morristown, TN; Nancy McDaniel, of Morristown, TN; Wilma Jane Smith, of Morristown, TN; Georgia Mae Cody, of White Pine, TN; and Kathy Smith, of Morristown, TN; and their families.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Jess Bill Williams, and Stella Mae Moss Williams, of Morristown, TN, and her brother Charles Williams, of Florence, SC.
She was a member of the Skyland Baptist Church. Barbara was a strong and loving person, with a beautiful smile.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 14, 2013 at Brown's Funeral Home, in Newport, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the service starts at 2:30PM; the service is to be conducted by Reverend David Honeycutt. Interment will be in the Swansylvania Cemetery following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Skyland First Baptist Church (Family Life Center), Skyland, NC. Condolences may be sent through the website www.brownfuneralhomenewport.com.
