Welzie Lewis, Jr.

Marshall - Welzie Lewis, Jr., 81, of Marshall, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013.

Mr. Lewis was born May 27, 1931 in Madison County where he lived all of his life. He retired from the Enka Plant and was a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Welzie Lewis, Sr. and Mamie Buckner Lewis; his wife, Flossie N. Lewis.

Surviving are his brothers, Tom Lewis (Ruby) and Harold Lewis (Rita); a niece, Darlene Arrowood (Denver); nephews, Jody Lewis (Mandy), Dwayne Lewis (Tiffany) and Daniel Lewis (Jackie); four great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2013 in the chapel of Madison Funeral Home with Reverends Ken Parker and B.P. Boyle officiating. A Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 1, 2013 at the Coates Family Cemetery on Grapevine Road.

The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 p.m. Thursday prior to the service.
