George William Wrenn Jr.

Greeneville, TN - George William Wrenn Jr., 86, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born February 15, 1932 in Asheville, North Carolina to the late George William Wrenn and Betty Johnson Wrenn.

He was a plant manager and engineering manager at MECO. He served in the U.S. Army for 5 years. Mr. Wrenn attended the First Church of God.

Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years: Judy Wrenn; three children by his first marriage; two children by his second marriage; one step-daughter from his third marriage: Traci Barnes; one step-son and wife from his fourth marriage: Michael and Kasi Patrick, whom he loved dearly; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, close friends, and church friends; brother and sister-in-law: John and Jeanette Wrenn; sister: Dale Woods; special brothers-in-law and wives: Rev. H.E. "Dick" and June Singleton, Leon and Dianna Fincher, and Gary and Linda Stamey; brother-in-law: J.C. Parton: sisters-in-law: Dolly Fortner, Alyne Cutshaw, and Irene McMillian; and a special companion: his dog, Sugar.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens with Rev. H.E. "Dick" Singleton officiating. The Greene County Honor Guard and the Tennessee National Guard will conduct a military graveside service.

Pallbearers will be Harold Duggins, Gary Landes, Wayne Chapman, W.C. Wilhoit, Parker Wilds, and Kyle Reaves. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Michael Hartsell and his staff, Dr. Michael Ponder and staff, special nurse Paula Hedrick, and the staffs of Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation, Caris Hospice, and James H. Quillen VA Medical Center Hospice Care.
