I am very saddened to learn of Mr. Pellom's passing. I've had the pleasure of knowing him since the mid 70ies, when I worked for Mr. John Kluttz, who owned Knight's Pharmacy in Black Mountain. I would always stop by to see Mr. Pellom when I would return home to visit family. He was always there with a hug, smile and wonderful story to share! He loved his family and I know he'll be HUGELY missed by everyone that had the honor to know him! Many blessings to him family!

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Pelham. He and I became friends as I visited, from time to time, my two clocks he had in for repair since 2009. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a great outlook on life. He will be missed. Black Mountain won't be the same without him.

I am so sorry for the family of John. I really enjoyed running into John around Black Mountain and a lot of times at Kiwanis. He was always quick with a smile and the first to ask how I was doing. We shared many a hug. I felt so bad for John and his ailing knees. Plus, he fixed more than one clock for me, one with a gentle adjustment of the battery. I will miss him!

Sending my deepest sympathy to the family. I will miss seeing John on my trips "home" to Black Mountain. I'll never forget the time he came to Greenville, SC, with Joe and Mary to service the grandfather clock my dad made. He requested a home cooked meal for payment.

Larry and I have fond memories of Mr. Pellom. Both he, and his father repaired our clocks and watches over the years. We always took time to listen to his wisdom and sense of humor. He was a blessing to many with whom he came in contact.
