Robert A. Parker

GILFORD - Robert A. Parker, 57, of 303 Old Lakeshore Road, Gilford, died Wednesday morning, Dec. 30, 2009 at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia.

He was born July 20, 1952, in Cambridge, Mass., the son of Jeanne M. (Packard) Parker and the late Donald Parker. He was a longtime resident of Chelmsford, Mass., coming to Gilford in 2004. He had been a summer resident of West Alton before retiring to Gilford.

Before his retirement, he was self-employed as a sheet metal worker and coppersmith.

Robert enjoyed music, camping and riding his Harley. He also loved his pets and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Francine L. (Campeau) Parker of Gilford; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert J. and Jennifer L. Parker of Hudson; a daughter, Kerry A. Parker and her companion, Dan Wiley of Concord; his mother, Jeanne M. (Packard) Parker of Dracut, Mass.; a brother, Glenn Parker of Chelmsford, Mass.; three sisters, Donna Parker and Cindy Holmes, both of Dracut, Mass., and Laurie Oley of Chelmsford, Mass.; several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010 from 4-7 p.m. in the Dewhirst Funeral Home, 1061 Union Ave., Laconia. There will be no funeral services.
