Jane Mikolinis Obituary
Born in Newport Twp. on Aug. 25, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Valenia Sweeney.
Prior to her retirement, she had been employed by the business office of the Greater Nanticoke Area School District.
Jane was a member of St. Faustina Parish, Nanticoke, American Legion Post 350 Ladies Auxiliary, Washington Fire Company Auxiliary, Bellarmine Senior Citizens and the Pinochle Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward.
Surviving are her son, Thomas and wife, Janice, Delta; daughters, Colette Knipe, Easton; and Michele Turner and husband, Christopher, Kent, Wash.; nine grandchildren; sister, Romaine Butka, Hanover Twp.; niece, Sophia Sager, Glen Lyon; and brother, Robert Sweeney, Huntington.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from Earl W. Lohman Funeral Home Inc., 14 W. Green St., Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Faustina Parish Church, Nanticoke.
Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Newport Twp.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be sent to the VNA Hospice at St. Luke's, 2455 Black River Road, Bethlehem, PA 18015.
