Paul Walsh Obituary

Paul F. (Walshy) Walsh III, 35, of Exeter, and a former Scranton resident, died Saturday at home.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of Paul F. Walsh Jr., Scranton, and his wife, Helen, and Juanita Verdetto Frey, Swoyersville, and her husband, Steven Frey, and Jay Cali, Dunmore.

He was a 1991 graduate of Scranton Technical High School and was employed by Northeast Painting Co., Scranton. He had formerly been employed by Mercy Hospital, Scranton.

He was a certified EMT and had formerly been associated with the Exeter Ambulance Co. He was a member of Peffers Athletic Club, Scranton, and was a fan of the "Rocky" movies and the Rolling Stones.

Also surviving are a daughter, Brayonna Walsh, at home; seven sisters, Mona Turner and her husband, John, West Pittston; Tanya Festa and her husband, Louis, Scranton; Jayana Cali, Dunmore; Melissa Ellis, Swoyersville; Kaitlyn Frey, Wilkes-Barre; Laura Walsh, Scranton; Diane Hoover, Madisonville; five brothers, Carl Elgin, Forty Fort; Ryan Cali, Dunmore; Larry Hoover, Scranton; Shawn and Jason Walsh, both of Scranton; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

The funeral will be held Wednesday from Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with Mass at 10 in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Smith Street, Dunmore. Interment will be in Denison Cemetery, Forty Fort. Friends may call Tuesday, 5 to 8 p.m.
