Edward Earl James Jr. Obituary

Edward Earl James Jr., 59, of Nanticoke, devoted husband, father and grandfather, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at home with his wife, kids and dog, Martin, at his side.

A resident of Nanticoke most of his life, he was born Nov. 2, 1960.

Ed was employed by CertrainTeed, Mountain Top, for 23 years until their closure and then was fortunate to start his new career at ON Semiconductor, Mountain Top, and was looking forward to an early retirement, which he worked towards his entire live. Ed was a hard worker, always providing for his family. He enjoyed spending time in "The Garage" surrounded by his friends, whom he considered family. He also enjoyed riding his Harley, hunting, fishing and spending time with his kids and grandsons, but most of all loved to vacation with his beloved wife.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward E. James Sr.

Ed is survived by his loving and devoted wife of more than 17 years, Donna James; children, son, Robert James and girlfriend, Amber Mackay; daughter, Sarah James and fiancé, Brad Fisher; daughter, Kayla Lee and husband, Cory; son, Edward James III and wife, Mary; siblings, brother, Jack Martin James and wife, Susan; sister, Linda James Smith and husband, Christopher; and sister, Laura James Butera and fiancé, Angelo Quisito; mother, Mabel James; four grandsons, Warren, Wyatt, Noah and Benjamin; and several nieces and nephews.

Edward's family would like to extend a special thanks to UPENN of Philadelphia and Medical Oncology Associates of Kingston. Also, thanks to the entire staff of Erwine Hospice home care for the care given to Ed and his family.

Honoring Ed's wishes, a private service for the family will be held with Pastor Joe Roach of First Primitive Methodist church, Nanticoke, officiating. There will be no public calling hours.

Interment will be in Hanover Green Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

Arrangements are in the care of Davis-Dinelli Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad St., Nanticoke.
