Patrick J. Bonomo Obituary

Patrick J. Bonomo, 82, of the Miners Mills section of Wilkes-Barre, passed away at home Saturday, Aug. 8, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Yatesville on Oct. 11, 1937, he was the son of the late Pasquale (Patsy) and Rachel Acierno Bonomo.

He was a graduate of Jenkins Twp. High School and Wilkes Barre Business School. Patrick was employed in the banking industry having worked at the First Bank of Greater Pittston, Wachovia Bank, and Well Fargo. He retired as vice president.

He was a member of the Plains Twp. Rotary Club and a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Pittston Council 372.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and he will be greatly missed.

He enjoyed Sunday family dinners, playing cards with his friends, and having coffee at Lispi's.

He was preceded in death by his cousin, Malcolm DeLuca, who was like a brother to him.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Judy Honeywell Bonomo; children, Dr. Scott Joseph Bonomo and his wife, Dr. Elizabeth, Philadelphia; Patrick Bonomo, Wilkes-Barre; Cheryl Bonomo and James Klappat, Wilkes-Barre Twp.; David Bonomo, White Haven; and Jennifer Collova and her husband Frank, Tarpon Springs, Fla.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Special thank you to Dr. Manganiello and Dr. Greenwald for the compassionate care they provided to Patrick.

Private funeral services will be held with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Marello Parish, Pittston, and interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Plains Twp.
