Thomas J. Lewis Obituary

Thomas J. Lewis, 50, a resident of Coral Springs, Fla., and formerly of Forty Fort, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2020, following a lengthy illness.

Born Nov. 5, 1969, in Kingston, Thomas was the son of Mary Elizabeth Stahovec Lewis, Forty Fort, and the late William M. Lewis Sr.

A graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, Tom received his associate degree from Luzerne County Community College and was employed in the hospitality field.

Tom was an artist, an athlete, was never at a loss for words. He enjoyed life to the fullest and even in sickness, he was a fighter.

In addition to his father, William M. Lewis Sr., Tom was preceded in death by his brother, William M. Lewis Jr.; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

In addition to his mother, Mary Elizabeth Lewis, Tom is survived by his siblings, Elizabeth Lewis, Austin, Texas, and her sons, Stephen, William and Michael Black; Dan Lewis, Freemont, Calif.; Leo Lewis and wife, Dawn, Nazareth, and their children, Kristen (Brandon) Collins, Zachary, Luke and Ian Lewis; Mary Lacy and husband, James, West Chester, and their sons, Connor, Topher and Max Lacy; his life-partner, Kadie Thompson, Coral Springs, Fla, and their dog, Yogurt; as well as his aunts, uncles and cousins.

A graveside blessing service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Cemetery, Swoyersville, with the Rev. Joseph J. Pisaneschi, pastor of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville, officiating.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wroblewski Funeral Home Inc., 1442 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort.
