Carol Baldacci Obituary

Carol Lacina Baldacci, 70, of Wyoming died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014.

Born Jan. 19, 1944, in West Wyoming she was a daughter of the late George and Josephine Olszyk Lacina.

Carol was a graduate of West Wyoming High School.

Before retiring Carol worked for Owens-Illinois Corp. for 15 years. She was also employed in the local garment industry and worked for Mary MacIntosh and briefly at King's College.

A member of the Parish of Our Lady of Fatima and communicant at the Church of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception, Carol was deeply devoted to St. Ann.

A sister, Dorothy Godamski, preceded her in death.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Joseph R. Baldacci; stepchildren, Mary Ann and her husband, David Evanko, Dunmore; and Richard and his wife, Tanya Baldacci, Springbrook Township; grandchildren, Kelly Evanko, Stefanie and her husband, Ryan Smith, Brittney and her husband, Donnie Lee, and Emily Baldacci; great-grandchildren, Donnie Lee and Mason Baldacci; sisters, Theresa and her husband, Frank Affeldt, Plymouth Meeting; and Charlotte Lacina, Kingston; seven nieces and nephews; 19 great-nieces and great–nephews; other family and friends.

A celebration of Carol's life will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday from McLaughlin's − The Family Funeral Service, 142 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in the Church of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception.

Interment will be in Italian American Cemetery, Scranton.

Visitation will be held at McLaughlin's from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
