I am sorry to hear of the passing of Shirley. She, her father, conductor of the Nanticoke Symphony Orchesra in the '50s and my piano lessons with her brilliant sister Donna have remained a big influence in my long career as oboist, pianist and teacher all these years. Shirley was a beautiful soprano whose voice was never forgotten as I was growing up in Sheatown. I would love to be able to contact Donna, as she was such an inspiration and mentor to me.
