Ed Burgess Obituary

Ed Burgess, 55, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at his home. He was born on December 26, 1950 in Topeka, the son of Ralph and Doris I. Dennison Burgess. Ed graduated from Topeka High School in 1969. He was an Army veteran and had been employed by St. Francis Hospital. He was a member of Wood Valley Racquet Club, enjoyed playing his guitar and was a talented artist. Survivors include one son, Dustin Burgess of Topeka, his father, Ralph Burgess of Topeka, one brother, Larry Burgess of Fredonia and two sisters, Kathy Johnston of Parsons, Connie Christy of Topeka . Ed was preceded in death by his mother, Doris I. Burgess, one brother, Eugene Burgess, his wife, Cindy and his adopted daughter, Brandi. Cremation has taken place. Private inurnment will take place in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Parker Price Chapel.
