My sister Cherie and I were so grateful that your mother did so much for our mother, Ariel Ginter, while Mom was fighting cancer. We didn't have family care leave from work at that time and the things that Norma did for Mom were a great help. She was a wonderful lady.

What a life well-lived! Not many people in their 80's are able to continue being an active community participant and to work doing something they love (pie baking). We'll miss you, Norma, and will always be longing for one more piece of your chocolate pie.

Norma was happiest as a silent hero serving her church, school, and community. The pie contest did bring the community together as an opportunity to honor and thank her for all that she gave to others.

I only met Norma once at a Red Hat outing that The KAW Girls had in Dover. But I felt like she was a favorite Aunt. Her award winning pie recipe is one that is made for me regularly as a special treat.
She touched many lives. She was a Kansas spirit! Wholesome and fresh.
My sympathy to the family and the community of Dover as you have lost a special gift. God will be enjoying those wonderful pies in Heaven!
