Not sure what to say?

Jerry Dyche

I told my son James many times that he was the bravest man I had ever know. The painful 15 year battle he fought with Wegener's disease was done without a complaint. He was not only my son but my best friend. They say "Only the good die young". He certainly fit that bill. A beautiful man inside and out. His Dad Jerry

So sorry for your loss Uncle Jerry and Aunt Elena. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Jimmy was one of a kind and will be missed by all who knew him. The heaviness in my heart is lightened by the fact that he is no longer suffering.

Jimmy is my cousin. I have not seen Jimmy since his journey began with his disease. But I know for sure he never lost his sense of humor. Jimmy was a true artist at heart, extremely creative and talented. I'm sending you my deepest love and wish you a safe journey on your new path without pain. You are free now, go with love in heart and when we meet again I know you will have a new story to tell me. That story will be full of laughter. I can see I smile on your face now. You always had a smile on your face. I look forward to that day, Jimmy. Go in peace and know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Love, Deborah Dyche Colfax

I'll bet he's looking down on us right now and thinking, "I finally got everyone to agree on something."
I think his online family all agrees he was a good guy, that could always make us smile.
I feel grateful to have known him, even if it was just online.

Vent, you will be missed by a large, diverse group of people. I first heard this news late, being overseas. Late, but in time for a few words. All the prior pain is gone now and you're with the Supreme Architect of the Universe. Know that we remember you and we'll meet again, friend.

Vent, while we never met, you were my friend. We often agreed when posting online and you stood up for me more than most others. May you be a peace now and may God welcome you with open arms. I know God loves Goofy Horses and you can now ride off into the sunset. You sir, my friend, will be forever missed. May your family find peace and may God look after them. RIP Vent!

A man who stood out in the crowd - talented, with a good heart - and he left far too soon. I wish for his family everything he would have wished for them. He had many friends and will be missed.

Spent many a late night/early morning conversing with Jim on cjonline. I offer these words of an old Irish Blessing: "May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand."

Prayers and condolences to you his family

For all the joy and humor you brought to his world, I expect you to be making God himself crack a smile with your exploits of crazy horses and ventilators. And while James is no longer on this world, that humor remains, not in his writings, but in those he touched; those who tried as they might could not hold back the grins and sheer laughter. It is they who will make sure that James lives on. You are missed my friend....greatly missed. But you never will be forgotten. Rest well, for you earned it.

I want to express my sincere condolences - though personally James (Vent) and I never met, we did get to know each other on CJOnline through the blogs. A lot was shared there through the years. God's peace and blessings be with you through this time and beyond.

I remember coming on to the C J blog's and seeing this guy writing about a horse. I always wondered who could write like that. It was all I could do to read it. It was a great series of writing after I got use to his humor. Always enjoyed the old stories and pictures of T town. Rest well my friend and keep that horse on track. We will be looking for you one day. I will ride along with you on my ride.
