Jackson of Church of God in Christ, who served over Seventy years and his mother Missionary Mattie Jackson of Church of God in Christ who served over Fifty years and a son Jerry Eugene Jackson. Also, his late wife District Missionary Mother Ruth Jackson who served faithfully in Church of God in Christ over Fifty years. Bishop Milton Paul Jackson, Sr. is survived by four children and his oldest son Bishop Milton Paul Jackson, Jr. who is Jurisdictional Prelate of Kansas Central Jurisdiction along with his Wife Dr. Betsy Vaughn-Jackson First Lady of Kansas Central Jurisdiction and family and loved ones. Bishop Milton Paul Jackson, Sr. was a great man of faith in God. Because of his faith in God, he was a blessing to many people in his lifetime. Bishop Milton Paul Jackson, Sr. family is fourth generation of Church of God in Christ. Bishop Milton Paul Jackson, Sr. lifelong member of Church of God in Christ, who served over Seventy years in Ministry. Bishop Milton Paul Jackson, Sr. Pastored several churches during his lifetime. Three of these Churches he built from the ground up, were located: 1. El Centro, California 2. Roswell, New Mexico 3. Topeka, Kansas Bishop Milton Paul Jackson, Sr. served under several Bishops of Church of God in Christ as follows: 1. Bishop J. W. Taylor, State of Iowa 2. Bishop O. T. Jones Jr., National YPWW Department 3. Bishops Charles Pleas, State of Kansas 4. Bishop Samuel M. Crouch, Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Southern California 5. Bishop Cox, State of New Mexico 6. Bishop I. B. Brown, Kansas Central Jurisdiction 7. Bishop B. H. Cunningham, Kansas Central Jurisdiction 8. Bishop Lemuel Thuston, Kansas East Jurisdiction 9. Bishop Milton P. Jackson, Jr., Kansas Central Jurisdiction Accomplishments 1. Bishop Milton Paul Jackson, Sr. received several honors for his service in Church of God in Christ, and numerous awards in the State and local communities where he resided. 2. Bishop Milton Paul Jackson, Sr., was the first black man in the City of Topeka, Kansas to borrow 1 million dollars to build apartment complexes in the city of Topeka, Kansas to house lower Income families. Over his lifetime Bishop Jackson, Sr. had an entrepreneur spirit and by faith, God allowed him to start businesses to help low income people with financial difficulties. He was also a humanitarian always looking for practical ways to help people and sponsoring large Christmas parties for children each December. Bishop Jackson and Mother Ruth Jackson had one of the largest and oldest black daycare nurseries in the city of Topeka, KS. His church also had services that would be broadcasted live from 8:30 to 9 p.m. on Sundays with WREN-AM radio station, for many years. The church choir would come on as the broadcast began each week, singing There's Power in the Blood with great fervor. He was the Founder and President of Jackson Memorial College, Topeka, KS. Bishop Milton P. Jackson Sr. was one of a kind, a personality you get to meet only once in your life. For that reason, he won't be forgotten by those who knew him. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 Bishop M.P. Jackson, Sr. was a true soldier and warrior for the Lord. You have finished your mission thy good and faithful servant. You can now rest from you labor and go to heaven and receive your just reward.
