Ronald E. "Ronnie" Shutts

Ronald E. “Ronnie” Shutts, 46, Topeka, passed away Monday, Oct. 25, 2004. He was born July 16, 1958, in Topeka, the son of Arthur R. and Dorothy R. Longstaff Shutts Sr. Mr. Shutts was self-employed as a maintenance worker. Survivors include his wife, Frances Shutts; two sons, Brandon and Casey Shutts; three daughters, Candace Bell, Melissa and Amber Shutts; and two stepsons, Anthony and Denny Smith, all of Topeka; his mother, Dorothy, Topeka; his father-in-law, James G. Massie, Topeka; four sisters, Joann Walthall, Dodge City, and Alice Carroll, Sharon Avers and Donna Shutts Berges, all of Topeka; four brothers, Ronald Kerley, Dallas, Charles Shutts, Lusk, Wyo., Arthur “Buster” Shutts Jr., Topeka, and Dennis Shutts, Tonganoxie; three grandchildren, Zaylee Bell, Caden Johnson and Akira Shutts; a stepgrandson, Avery Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ronnie will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends. A funeral service will be at noon Friday at Davidson Funeral Home. Mr. Shutts will lie in state from 3 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Rochester Cemetery.
