Shelby and Maxine Grubbs were my favorite friends and teachers at Ridgecrest Baptist Church. I delivered their newspaper and remember their 1954 chevy, which he referred to as Brownie.

Maxine, so sorry to hear about Shelby.
I always thought so much of both of you when y'all taught be back at Ridgecrest Even as an adult if I saw him anywhere, he always spoke, called me by name and reminded me how bad I was as a child. Haha. Y'all were such a happy couple and so cute so I know this is hard for you. I am sure he is in heaven reuniting with lots of Ridgecresters who are there. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers daily.
