Mrs. Lynell Dunn Murray
Ellisville - Graveside services for Mrs. Lynell Dunn Murray, age 91, of Ellisville, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2018 at Lakewood Memorial Park in Clinton, MS.
Mrs. Murray was president of Murray Mud Jacking Service, Inc. and together with her husband, ran a thriving business for over 45 years. She was a faithful member of Meadowbrook Church of Christ for many years and loved beautiful flowers, collecting antiques, and working puzzle books. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother to her four children, and an adoring grandmother to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas J. Murray; her parents, Robert J. and Mattie M. Dunn; and her siblings, Myrtle Dunn, Bob Joe Dunn, Grady Dunn, Marie Dunn, Evelyn Dunn Biglane, Sadie Dunn Duvall, and Bettie Dunn Hoggat Foster.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl M. (Don) Lee of New Orleans, LA, Thomas J. (Beverly S.) Murray Jr. of Lutz, FL, Tracey M. (Dalton) Strait of Canton, MS, and Melissa M. (Charles) Garretson of Ellisville. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Victoria Kennedy (Michael) Boyd, Donald Wayne (Tiffany) Kennedy, T. J. (Lisa) Murray III, Brandy Murray (Mitchell) Ramos, Thomas L. (Cathy) Strait, Jonathan (Nikki) Strait, Melissa Claire (David) Ishee, Kathryn Joyce Garretson, and Renee (Carl) Strait.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to caregivers Kendra Mayer and Tina Kersh, you gave many hours of loving care and it will never be forgotten by Mrs. Murray's family. To the TCU staff of Merit Health Wesley, words are not adequate to describe your thoughtfulness, loving care and special attention given to our mother during her hospital stay. Never change anything about who you are and how you minister daily to patients and families. To Camellia Hospice, many thanks to you for guidance and support, calls and visits, we so appreciate you and your staff.
