Sept. 4th is not a very good day for us. We miss you every single day. Being missed as much as we miss you thats a real good indication how much you are loved! So much in the past eleven yrs has happened. You have two beautiful, smart, funny nephews in which I see a part of you in them. We hold on to our good memories and that is what gets us through . Love you very much! You will never be forgotten. Till we meet again, Brian.

This is to Brian and his family,
It's just about 1 year since your passing and still extremely tough to take. In situations like this I always try to learn something from it and to take something from it, which I feel that I have. This is not to be confused with not missing you. I do, everyday I think of you. It's all good and funny. I believe there is a piece of you in everyone of us in the Evans family and Gross family. You live through us. I see your eyes in your nephew Driver, and your gift of conversation through Bennett. There are to many to mention. You will never be forgotten, just forever missed. I do believe we will meet again. Until then Happy Birthday Brian.........
Love You,
Aunt Pam

Brian and Rachel after they passed the bar. 2007
To My Precious Son,
It is almost a year since you passed away and we still miss you everyday. Our hearts are crying for you and everything you missed out on in your life. One thing for sure is that Dad and I are so happy that you found a girl, Rachel, that you loved so very much. I always told you one day you would fall head over heels for a girl and every time you said "no way", but you did fall for Rachel and I was so happy that you found your soul mate.
She loved you with all her heart.
I am so sorry that you didn't get to meet your new nephew, Driver, you would love him, he is so his Daddy. You gave so many people your love and I just hope that you realized how many wonderful family and friends you had that loved and admired you.
Next week is your birthday and I just want to say Happy Birthday to you and give you a big Mom hug, which I know you hated, I don't think you really did though. Your brother, your Dad and myself will love you forever and miss your laugh and eyes that glow.
We love you.

Dear Brian Evans,
I remember the day I met you at the Foley House. I thought you were a little rough around the edges. We were the most unlikely friends, but somehow we made it work. I'm sorry I didn't always take the time to tell you how much I cared about you and now, looking back, I really understand how much you cared about me too. I think you should know that I thought you were a really amazing person. I will always remember you through all of your emails and the one picture I have of you; Thai food and Guinness will always be yours; and in my heart, Savannah will be our place. I will never forget the bike ride from hell or movie nights or working out and I will still pretend to tease you about the how much you loved "Calendar Girls". And since I can't end it on that, thank you for always being a wonderful friend and calling me faithfully every few weeks. I miss you more than you can imagine.

Love, Krista

PS- I think it would irritate you to know that I've been talking to your mom. :) She has really helped me through this difficult time. Thank you, Terry.

Brian, you will always have a place in my heart. I enjoyed babysitting you and living next door to you and your family. I loved you like a brother and always will. You were always a lot of fun and also a bit of pain at times, but I loved every minute of it. You and your family will always have a special place in my heart. Love you all, Christine (Hillegass) Mohn

Brian was a colleague, comrade and dear friend. The day I swore him into the Army National Guard as an officer and all the trouble we went through in finding a uniform will always make me laugh -- and will always make me proud.

I will miss you brother and know that when a toast is made to "absent friends and absent companions," my thoughts will turn to you.

My husband attended law school with Brian and we were very saddened to hear the news of his passing. Brian and Rachel drove all the way from Jackson to attend our wedding in South Carolina and it meant so much to both of us. Matt and Brian enjoyed numerous conversations about law, the military, and of course, running and working out during law school and have kept in touch even after graduation. I know he was a great friend to my husband and always kept him and those around him laughing. Our thoughts are with both Brian's family and Rachel during this difficult time.

Please know that Brian is remembered fondly at Mississippi College School of Law. He and Rachel adopted a stray dog that I found, and I remember how sweet he was with Bella. I am thinking of Brian's family, and especially of Rachel, at this very difficult time.

I met Brian through Rachel just a few months ago. (Her father is a dear friend of ours.) He had great courtroom presence and was always friendly to me. We had many conversations, among them one of which Brian shared his view on some trouble my stepson is going through. (He was right, too -- we have him on track, thanks to Brian.) I am sorry for your loss. He will be missed.
